These photos were taken in Southern Oregon at Howard Prairie Lake. The lake is one mile wide and six miles long. Summer time sailing is quite consistent as the wind is built by the heat in the valley. The winds begin around 11:00 AM and continue to blow until they shut down around 7:00 PM. The water surface remains reasonably calm even with winds exceeding 20 knots, making for a fast and comfortable ride.
Margarita was owned by David Wood who provided the Montgomery owners group with line drawings. David is a 'patent graphic artist' which means he does the intricate drawings required when applying for a patent.
