The original flared mast slot opening was easily closed with a hammer and 2 x 4. I cut a new opening with a Dremel tool, following the instructions and video on the Mastgate web site. I had to bend the flanges of the new gate slightly for a good fit. This was easily done. Their phone support is excellent!
