I was amazed at the beauty of Lake Pend Oreille in North Idaho. Spectacular healthy forests, bald eagles, snow capped mountains, blue water....

We stayed in Hope, ID at a resort (Pend Oreille Shores Resort). The resort offered free docks for those staying and we parked our M17 for the week.

Hope is on Ellisport Bay which is well protected from the rest of the lake. It is also a pretty remote place without any restaurants or conveniences. A couple of marinas are located there, but not much else...Very quiet and peaceful.

We made several day sails around the nearby islands.
