I wanted to add a pair of cockpit coaming boxes to have a place for winch handles and miscellaneous items but I did not want the thickness of the trim to ruin the perfectly smooth back rest. The trim had to be as thin as possible, This meant that the boxes had to be mounted from inside the coaming, to be held in place with countersunk screws from the outside.
