Overview/History

Serenity was manufactured in 1982. She is a 4 berth version that spent the first 30 years of her life in Arizona, sailing mostly in fresh water lakes, with a few trips to the Sea of Cortez. In 2013 Serenity was purchased by Keith Martin a former Sea Scout Leader and coastal wilderness enthusiast from Vancouver BC.

Since relocating to Vancouver, Serenity can be seen plying the BC coastal waters of Howe Sound, Georgia Straight, the Canadian Gulf Islands, and points all along the Inside Passage, or just day sailing up the Indian Arm.

Serenity was in great shape upon arriving in Vancouver benefiting from a long history of being well maintained. The tradition continues with many of the recent upgrade projects reflecting her new role in the single handed exploration of the BC coast. Projects include centre board & keel maintenance, barrier coat & anti-fouling, refurbished teak, new sails & CDI furler, a semi-retractable bowsprit with a top down furling asym spinnaker, all new electrical systems, a forward hatch mounted 50W solar panel, upgraded VHF radio with mast mounted antenna, CCG/USCG compliant LED Nav lights, and a bow roller mounted Rocna anchor.
