We purchased FIN, a 1977 M17, from her previous owner in early 2020, but due to COVID could not get her on the water until June. We have already done some basic maintenance and a few upgrades including a new electrical panel and jib sheets. She needs a bit of care, such as rebedding the port lights, new bow lights, and other minor maintenance, but she sailed fine during our first outing and allowed us to get our sailing chops back after 10+ years without sailing. The biggest need at this point is new bunk boards on the trailer and we would like to install a keel guide as several other Montgomery owners have done. (Rob, July 3, 2020)
